America’s Got Talent Season 16 – The Teaser Showcases Season 15 Winner

America’s Got Talent Season 16 Updates: The popularity of ‘America’s Got Talent’ has grown over the years. And now, it is returning for a season 16. It would start on the 1st of June, 2021.

This time the producers of ‘AGT’ have tried something different for the promotion of the show. They recruited the season 15 winner, Brandon Leake for the first teaser ad.

America’s Got Talent Season 16 Judges

Over the 15th season, Brandon’s performances won many hearts and impressed the judges too. He is from Stockholm, California. For his performance, he earned the Golden Buzzer in the first round from Judge Howie Mandel. He is a spoken word poet. He performed pieces about his sister who passed away, his father, daughter and gave some performances for Black Lives Matter.

Due to the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the producers and the crew had to change their methods for conducting auditions. The search was conducted online instead, via a live stream video link. Acts and performers were invited to sign up for the chance to audition from their homes only. The power of the internet is unthinkable. As in the past ‘AGT’ seasons, the selected ones got a chance to perform for a producer using custom-built Zoom technology.

What Other Season Winner Said?

Interestingly, the Season 13 winner Shin Lim joined the season 16 contestants in the virtual audition waiting room where the other contestants got a chance to ask the magician about his personal ‘AGT’ journey. This made for a once-in-a-lifetime audition experience for others.

The acts who then made it past the producers were then given a chance to perform in front of the four judges on ‘America’s Got Talent. For those who don’t know, the four judges are Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mandel, and Sofia Vergara. Now, these auditions would be screened weekly for seven episodes. They would be starting from the 1st of June.

From the performances, the judges would then pick six dozen to continue on the competition. The performances which get the Golden Buzzer would be sent through to the live shows straightaway.

The liver shows will be hosted by the popular host Terry Crews and would air in early August. The winner of America’s Got Talent Season 16 would be crowned in late September. And as you know, the winner would get a million dollars and a special contract to headline a Las Vegas casino show.
