The 4th and final season of The Umbrella Academy is almost here! Netflix has released new teaser art for The Umbrella Academy season 4 as part of Geeked Week 2023, as well as an enjoyable clip starring the actors explaining the upcoming season, and they have a lot of good things to say about it!
The Netflix superhero drama, based on the comic book series of the same name by author Gerard Way & artist Gabriel Bá, follows a motley collection of superheroes who reunite following the death of their adopted father. This millionaire educated them to handle their powers.
The Umbrella Academy Season 4 | Final Season
When we last saw the Hargreeves family at The Umbrella Academy Season 3’s final episode, they fled the Hotel Oblivion and reset the universe…and were now living without their superpowers.
Of course, their problems are far from finished, as their father, Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore), amasses power and effectively runs the city. But where are they in Season 4?
When questioned about Season 4, the cast predicts “the best season yet,” packed with “excitement” and the typical “nonsense and shenanigans.” While they avoid spoilers as much as possible, they reveal that new characters & antagonists will be joining the cast. A new poster also shows the next season’s twisted timeline.
While no specific release date for Season 4 has been announced, Netflix has released a new poster teasing a “final timeline” in the expected episodes.
In addition to the new featurette, which hinted at a 2024 release date for the final and fourth season, Netflix unveiled a brand-new Season 4 poster.
The poster, which pays homage to the show’s interconnecting timelines, depicts eight colorful intersecting lines in the shape of a subway map, merging and looping together to form the outlines of the titular umbrella.
There are many minor nuggets for fans to seek while we wait for the debut, with each “stop” marking a crucial milestone in each unique character’s journey.

Final Timeline
While the behind-the-scenes film doesn’t reveal much, the hint that new characters may join the Umbrella Academy cast in the final season is fascinating.
So far, much has yet to be revealed about who could join the core group this time. However, it has previously been confirmed that Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally would feature as Dr. Gene Thibedeau and Dr. Jean Thibedeau, two community college teachers who wear “sensible footwear” and experience serious déjà vu.
