What Had Previously Happened In Episode 17 Of Delicious In the Dungeon?
In Delicious in Dungeon Episode 17, titled Harpy/Chimera, Shuro confronts Laios for using forbidden ancient magic to bring back Falin. Shuro is furious not only about the use of this magic but also about Laios’s careless attitude towards it. Kabru steps in and suggests that letting Falin remain dead is the only alternative.
Just as the group deals with this bombshell, they receive an urgent message from Chilchuck about monsters attacking the cooks. Shuro takes the lead to investigate, still upset about his confrontation with Laios.
Meanwhile, Laios confides in Chilchuck about his worries regarding his friendship with Shuro. Chilchuck listens and offers support.
Marcille and Chilchuck talk about the aftermath of Marcille’s use of black magic. Marcille is torn between learning more about it and avoiding trouble.
Chilchuck suggests destroying her staff to stop temptation. Their talk is interrupted by a comrade of Shuro falling in battle. Falin appears as a human/harpy/dragon chimera and attacks, causing chaos. Kabru acts quickly to protect the group.
Falin casts a powerful spell, leaving most of the party unable to move. But Marcille manages to revive Maizuru, who then revives everyone else. Falin disappears, and Shuro and Laios argue, airing their grievances.
Later, Shuro decides to pretend Falin is dead and returns home. Kabru and Shuro’s group regroup and head back to the surface, ending the episode with Laios and his companions continuing their journey into the dungeon.
