Jinni to Leave NMIXX and JYP Entertainment Agency.

Jinni is one of the members of the South Korean girl group Nmixx. She was the vocalist, rapper, and dancer of the group. The group Nmixx had seven members in total before the departure of Jinni. After Jinni left the group, it has six members at present which include Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Jiwoo, Bae, and Kyujin.

On December 9, it was announced that Jinni has not only left the group but also the agency JYP Entertainment. The agency JYP Entertainment has also given an official statement regarding the departure of Jinni. The statement is as follows:

“Hello. This is JYP Entertainment.

Jinni, one of the members of the group NMIXX will no longer be part of the group due to personal reasons and her exclusive contract has also ended.

With this unexpected news, we apologize for worrying so many of our followers.

As a result, we are informing you that NMIXX will now perform all of its upcoming events as a six-member ensemble.

We kindly request that you support Jinni, who will be embarking on a new route, and that NSWER, NMIXX’s supporters, do the same for the other six members, who will push on and continue to develop as they pursue their goals.

We apologize once more to the supporters who have shown [NMIXX] a lot of love.

Jinni

Along with the other members of the group, Jinni made her debut on March 1, 2022. The girl group, Nmixx was originally meant to debut on February 22 with the release of “Ad Mare” but since one of the team members, Bae tested positive for COVID-19 the debut program was postponed to March 1 from February 22.

On May 2, Nmixx released the Korean version of “Hey Gabby!” in conjunction with the B-side “Sparkling Party” from the DreamWorks Animation film Gabby’s Dollhouse.

They also took part in Project Ribbon’s Summer Vacation Project with From 9 and Oh My Girl Banhana to cover Rainbow’s “Kiss” from their 2009 debut EP Gossip Girl.

Nmixx’s second single album Entwurf and its first single, “Dice,” were both released on September 19. On November 23, the group released “Funky Glitter Christmas,” their first “Intermixxion” track.
