Ezviz C6 2k Security Camera: Design, Features, Image Quality, and More

The Ezviz C6 2k Security Camera claims to capture the event wherever it happens with integrated pan and tilt controls and some clever AI tracking functions. The IR night mode functions nicely, and the image quality is good.

It’s easy to deal with daily, but the app could need some modifications, and we’d like to see more connection with services like Google Home.

However, as the camera is affordable, and the microSD card compatibility allows you to avoid ongoing subscription fees, it is a cost-efficient method to begin installing home security.

The Ezviz C6 is a spherical gadget with a black opening up front for the camera and a base for installation if desired. The device can pan due to a join in the center, and the camera may tilt up and down as needed.

It’s tiny enough to fit nicely on a cabinet, shelf, or anywhere else without being bothered. As previously said, the camera is mountable if you want it entirely out of the way, and everything you will need to do so is provided in the box.

The sleeping face on the privacy screen, which is visible while the camera is concealed, is one of the most excellent design features.

Price and Availability

The C6 2K+ was revealed by the EZVIZ in late 2021, with a March 2022 release date. Unfortunately, the only available color for the camera is white, and the housing is black. Amazon’s current price is $129.99, which is the same as the launch price.

Features

manuals.plus

The C6 2k+ uses the same Ezviz software as the brand’s prior products, both a plus and a minus. The software is quite simple, and setting up the C6 using the on-screen instructions is as simple as it gets, but it might use some upgrades elsewhere.

The black motorized camera assembly tilts 133 degrees and records 2K video at 25 frames per second. Two infrared LED clusters provide black-and-white night vision, while the camera’s Starlight lens leverages ambient light to provide color night footage.

In addition, the camera assembly includes a microphone for audio detection and two-way communication, an LED indication that glow blue when the camera is operating correctly, and red when there is a problem with the camera or network.

The most irritating aspect is that it needs pixel-perfect taps to choose an icon, which is easily fixable, and we expect to see a modification introduced in future editions.

The C6, like other Ezviz devices, can be integrated with Google Home or Amazon Alexa systems. However, the connection is fundamental.

The image quality of the Ezviz C6 2k Security Camera

Ezviz C6 2k Security Camera

The C6 boasts a 2K resolution, providing a lot of home monitoring information. It has a 92-degree diagonal field of vision, which isn’t the largest you would have seen on a security camera, but it compensates for this with pan and tilt functionality.

The dynamic range should be enough, especially if WDR mode is enabled in the options menu.

You have two possibilities at night. First, you may record in color vision or infrared night vision mode, producing the black and white film but operating in total darkness.

Conclusion

The Ezviz C6 2K+ is a reasonably priced smart camera with various functions. There is room for development, notably with the app, but it functions well in most areas.

If you want a camera with a wide range of viewing angles, this is the one to choose.
