Mortal Kombat 4: What happened to Reiko Explained

Mortal Kombat 4 Updates: Mortal Kombat is an American media series based on a video game. The first series came into action in 1992, and the latest series i.e. Mortal Kombat 11, was released on April 23, 2019. The action-adventure series was loved by the audience.

All the cast members have done an awesome job, but one character that has been in the talks for quite some time is Reiko. After he ended in Mortal Kombat 4, Reiko has been the talk of the town, and the viewers are asking for him in Mortal Kombat 11.

With an overflow of ninjas in the series, and the viewers complaining about the ninja issue, Ed Boon decided to introduce a more unique ninja to the series. Boon placed his face on the ninja’s model, and that’s how Reiko was born.

Reiko was placed as an antagonist in the series. He was a general in the Shao Kahn army. He was a mysterious character, and he has always been present in the show indirectly since Mortal Kombat 4.

Havoc was created amongst the fans when Reiko sat on Shao Kahn’s throne, and the helmet of the Outworld ruler was placed on his head. The viewers thought that it was Shao Kahn disguised as Reiko, but Boon confirmed that both of them are different characters.

As time passed, Reiko’s character became less prevalent in the story. He started to give minor cameos in the show. However, his role was very significant in Mortal Kombat X. Other than this series; his character was reoccurring but not regular.

When Reiko entered the show, he was seen seducing Mileena and used the Outworld princess to achieve his selfish goals. Not only this, he used Havik to become a Blood God and acquired strong powers.

Walking towards the end, he got betrayed by Chaosrealm, and the reign of Reiko ended in the show. Just like any other evil guy, Reiko got what he deserved, and we will not see him in any further Mortal Kombat series.

That was the story of Reiko from the beginning till the end. What do you think he deserved to die or not?
