Magneto
Sideshow

Erik Lehnsherr, also known as. Magneto‘s story arc unfolds as it is revealed that he’s a Holocaust survivor who formed his extremist beliefs to save mutants from suffering the same fate. Magneto has now become a more anti-hero figure, often joining the X-Men.

Magneto is tremendously powerful, and his dominance over all types of magnetism allows him to control & manipulate all metals.

He can manipulate a whole planet’s electromagnetic field, create a virtually impenetrable magnetic force field around himself, use electromagnetic pulses to destroy metal and non-metal items, manipulate matter, fly, and deactivate gravity by reversing the polarity of the Earth’s magnetic field.

One of the Ultimate X-Men’s most formidable members unexpectedly joined the team. Elliot Boggs was an X-Men fan, and when his mutant powers developed, he joined the team after being discovered by S.H.I.E.L.D. Boggs had found how to distort reality, which appeared to be the cause of his parents’ deaths.

Boggs debuted in Ultimate X-Men #66 (January 2006) as the mutant hero Magician, although he struggled to manage his reality-altering skills.

The magician shows several extraordinary skills before his apparent death at the hands of Wolverine, although he may have lived owing to his powers.

Iceman, aka Bobby Drake

The ultimate Bobby Drake adapted to his omega-level powers faster than his 616 counterpart. Iceman hopped the snowman phase and moved on to his fully working ice body. His powers are cryokinesis & hydrokinesis, and he was able to manipulate his own body and create ice creations and creatures.

Ultimate Iceman first appeared in Ultimate X-Men #1 (December 2000) and has proven his usefulness to the X-Men on multiple occasions. He prevented an invasion by Weapon X and defeated the Ultimates entirely alone. Professor Xavier even stated that Iceman was among the most powerful X-Men.

Rogue, also known as Marian Carlyle

Rogue, also known as Marian Carlyle
Comic Vine

Rogue Ultimate is one of the most powerful X-Men. She resembles the 616 universe’s Anna Marie in most aspects, except her actual name, Marian Carlyle. Both Rogue forms may drain people’s life energy and pick up their memories and abilities through skin-to-skin contact.

Ultimate Rogue was first seen in Ultimate X-Men #7 (August 2001), when she could use the most extraordinary powers she had been given while under the control of Banshee. She also absorbed the strength of a dead Juggernaut, which permanently increased her power.

Rogue developed extraordinary speed, agility, toughness, and stamina, and she could increase her power further by absorbing extra powers.

Wolverine / James Howlett / Logan

Earth-616’s Wolverine boasts one of Marvel’s most remarkable healing powers. Like his mainstream version, Ultimate Wolverine possesses increased animal senses, an adamantium skeleton with adamantium-laced claws. Before joining the X-Men, Weapon X trained Wolverine to be an emotionless assassin.

Wolverine first appeared in Ultimate X-Men #1 (December 2000). The main difference between the 616 version & Ultimate Wolverine is that his healing ability is a survival part.

Wolverine’s body can adapt to being cut in half, beheaded, and even blown up with a nuclear weapon.

However, one of Wolverine’s most potent enemies tested his limitations. Magneto destroyed his body before tearing the adamantium from his bones.

Magma

Magma
Marvel

Like her mainstream counterpart, Amara Aquilla possesses the mutant power to control rock and molten lava, known as Magma.

Unfortunately, she hasn’t had as many chances to show off her tremendous abilities because she merely joined the Ultimate X-Men’s Mutant Resistance for the later “United We Stand” event.

Magma initially appeared in Ultimate Comics X-Men #19 (November 2012), when she defined herself as a mutant barrier when asked about her role in the mutant resistance. She may not have been as apparent in battle as many of her other X-Men, but her mutant powers allowed her to shift continents and alter the waters literally.

Vulcan

Vulcan
Inlander

Cyclops’ and Havoc’s younger brother, Vulcan, is a considerably more powerful Omega-level mutant with devastating energy-based powers.

Gabriel Summers was conceived artificially on the Shi’ar crown world when Katherine Summers, a pregnant woman, had a child removed from her and artificially aged. He made his way to Earth and ultimately joined the X-Men, but his first mission went wrong, and he found himself stranded in space.

M-Day awoke and sent him on a revenge mission, destroying those who rejected him and claiming the Shi-ar empire’s crown. Vulcan deserves to be shown as an essential X-Men antagonist on the big screen.

Kid Omega

Quentin Quire, who first appeared in New X-Men #134 (November 2002), is a powerful telepath, telekinetic, and psion who has become a form of the Phoenix force and ultimate host.

With brain power equal to those of Professor X and Jean Grey, Kid Omega is, as the name implies, an Omega-level mutant and his power is sometimes ignored owing to his age. As an up-and-coming character, he hasn’t received much attention outside the comics, yet his strength is undeniable.

Professor Charles Xavier

Professor Charles Xavier
Bleeding Cool

First seen in X-Men #1 in July 1963. The guy who put the X-Men together and gave the team its name from the first letter of his name is one of the most influential comic book characters ever created.

At first appearance, he does not appear to be particularly powerful, yet his telepathy & telekinesis make him more challenging than practically any other member of the team.

Professor X can get into people’s brains and communicate without speaking. He may also control and use others to converse with what he wants. Only a few mutants can stop the Professor from reading or influencing their brains.

Phoenix/Jean Grey

It may come as expected that Jean Grey is the most powerful character of the Ultimate X-Men. She not only possesses incredible telepathic and telekinetic powers, but she also serves as the host to the Phoenix Force.

While the Phoenix Force significantly enhanced the 616 avatars of Jean Grey, Ultimate Phoenix was undoubtedly more powerful.

Jean Grey first appeared in Ultimate X-Men #1 (December 2000) when she tore Apocalypse apart atom by atom with the Phoenix Force’s heightened powers. She could also change time and control reality when attached to the Phoenix Force.

Jean Grey spent some time traveling across the cosmos, understanding her new cosmic duty, before returning to Earth and being separated from the Phoenix.
