The source of this racism issue is a leaked email that Eagle News made public. In the email, board member Cybil Reynolds remarks racially against new host Christina Hunter (Nicole Beharie). This issue also highlights salary disparities inside the organization, as Christina is paid far less than her coworkers.
After the cyber-attacks, The Morning Show attempts to keep things light, but the controversy has increased ratings.
Meanwhile, Cory’s fabricated leak about Paul’s merger has also done well for the firm, causing stock prices to rise. Cory even suggests that Paul reconsider his first offer.
Of course, the current scandal deflates all of this optimism. Cory calls his legal team; they are about to embark on another difficult struggle.
