My Happy Marriage Episode 9

In My Happy Marriage Episode 9, we pick up right where the previous episode left off. Miyo collapses from exhaustion during an outing with Yurie and Hazuki.

Last time, after meeting Hazuki, Miyo started doubting her suitability as Kudo’s wife. She asked Hazuki for etiquette lessons and pushed herself too hard, leading to her fainting.

Luckily, someone catches her—Arata, though she doesn’t recognize him. Miyo’s guards are up as she’s surprised by his attention. Kudo rushes home upon hearing about Miyo and finds her sleeping.

He discusses her situation with Hazuki, mentioning the Usuba family’s unique abilities. The protective barrier around their home could have weaknesses.

Meanwhile, dangerous creatures, the Grotesqueries, move from their sealed area to the Capital. The capacity of the Ministry of the Imperial House to address this matter appears to be insufficient, whereas Kudo’s unit demonstrates a capability to effectively manage and handle the situation.

Miyo is haunted by nightmares from her traumatic past, blaming herself. Hazuki opens up about her own regrets.

Later, Kudo and Miyo talk about their loneliness, and Kudo urges Miyo to share her troubles, unaware of her inner struggles. The next day, Arata notices Miyo’s fragility and accuses Kudo of mistreatment, which is unfounded.

Kudo finds Miyo distant at home, not responding. Anxious, he shakes her, demanding to know why she’s hurting herself.
