Wingwomen, the next feature film directed by actress Mélanie Laurent, has received a teaser trailer from Netflix!
The film’s original French title is Voleuses, which means Thieves. However, this needs to translate better into English.
The movie is an adaptation of the French comic novel “La Grande Odalisque” authored by Bastien Vivès, Jérôme Mulot, and Florent Ruppert. It is about a gang of female professional thieves that target high-end treasures.
Melanie directed the film and also co-wrote it with Christophe Deslandes and Cédric Anger. It will be intriguing to see how effectively she does three tasks simultaneously: writing, directing, and performing.
The Wingwomen teaser doesn’t provide much information, which is understandable. We can soak in the radiance of Melanie’s grin till the trailer arrives.

Wingwomen Official Teaser: Melanie Laurent Is Back In Action Mode, And Fans Can’t Get Enough Of It!
Netflix has released the first teaser for Wingwomen, its next French crime film [Voleuses], and it will be an adventurous journey. Guns, bullets, and bikers; the film promises to be an action-packed thriller.
The stakes will also be high because she and her squad must be robbing a ganglord or a kingpin. Robbing a bank provides no thrills.
Melanie and Adèle (Alex) will need the help of Sam (Manon) for their final task. It’ll be a significant deal since they’ll bother many nasty people.
The former two appear to have spent many years as thieves, working for their Godmother (Isabelle Adjani) and now crave a free existence.
They make a strategy, but because they can’t carry it out on their own, they ask for the help of Sam, a skilled motorcyclist. As a result, speed and excitement will play major parts in the film.
Friendship will also play a role. We don’t see the Godmother or the protagonist in the teaser, but we will in the trailer.

The cast of Wingwomen
Carole is played by Mélanie Laurent. Laurent is most recognized for her role as Shosanna in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.
Alex is played by Adèle Exarchopoulos. This is the actress’s first appearance in a Netflix Original film or series.
Manon Bresch plays Sam. Bresch has appeared in two Netflix original series: Mortell and Grown Ups.
The remaining cast members include Isabelle Adjani (Possession), Philippe Katerine (Sink or Swim), Félix Moati (Father and Son), LucieLaffin (Cannes Confidential), and Leona D’Huy (The Gray Man).

Alex and Carole, childhood buddies, are now (literally) partners in crime. But the robbery to steal Ingres’ picture, The Grande Odalisque out of the Louvre in Paris becomes too difficult for the two, so they call in Clarence, a bureaucrat’s son with a Mexican drug cartel on his tail and, more significantly, a weapons dealer.
Sam, a stunt biker and boxer by trade, is up next, proving trigger-happy with tranquilizer darts.
