Nothing Phone 2: Everything You Need To Know!

Here’s all we know about the Nothing Phone (2) thus far. The Nothing Phone (1) was one of the most intriguing phones of 2022.

It wasn’t just the awesome backlights that made it stand out (though that certainly helped), but the rise of a new company that dared to take on the powerful guns without getting wiped out.

Display and Design of Nothing Phone 2

We know that the design is identical to the original but that there are more separate light strips on the back this time. The rear glass is rounded.

Nothing has also stated that the Nothing Phone 2 would have a 0.15-inch larger screen than the current model, bringing the total size to 6.7 inches.

If the resolution does not increase, the display will be less crisp, although this should not be visible.

According to reports, the Nothing Phone 2’s display will refresh at 120Hz, much like the original Nothing.

We need to know whether any substantial additional durability improvements will be made. The original Nothing Phone 1 was just IP53 water resistant, meaning it could withstand a minor splash but not a severe deluge.

It used Gorilla Glass 5, Corning’s top glass, in 2016. Phones today are supposed to be far more durable in general. Yogesh Brar, a Twitter leaker, has stated that an IP rating is expected but has not provided any details.

Alongside the two 50MP cameras of the Nothing Phone 1, it might include a new camera lens and sensor.

The Nothing Phone 2 will consist of just two back cameras, a 50MP f/1.9 Sony IMX890 with optical image stabilization (similar to the OnePlus 11), and a 50MP f/2.2 Samsung JN1.

The resolution of the selfie camera is expected to quadruple, from 16MP on the Nothing Phone 1 to the new 32MP sensor on the Phone 2.

The selfie camera on the original Phone was located in the upper left corner of the screen. We are still determining where the new selfie camera will end up.

Nothing might improve its charging capabilities, and the next Phone could increase the energy to a 67W connected charging rate.

If Nothing Phone 2 charges at an identical pace to competitors, that should deliver a full battery in less than thirty minutes. It will be restricted to 33W, with a wireless charging capability of 15W.

Speculations of Nothing Phone 2

Nothing Phone (2) will be powered by Nothing OS 2.0, a skin on top of Android 13. Nothing Phone (2) will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 series processor, which has been confirmed.

That’s a 2022 flagship chip, but it’s still stunning. It’s not as quick as the more modern 8 Gen 2, but it provides comparable performance at a significantly cheaper price, which should help. Nothing offers a robust phone that’s still affordable.

Nothing has all to benefit from the Nothing Phone (2) by improving on the Phone (1)’s flaws and maybe boosting the price to compensate.

But the judgment is still out, and It has a long way to go once it can compete with the more established brands, particularly as it expands into the highly competitive US market.
