Barry Levinson has directed the upcoming crime drama series ‘The Calling’. Showrunner David E. Kelley has written the screenplay of the series with Dror Mishani adapting it from a book by the latter.

Plot Line of ‘The Calling’:

The plot of the upcoming series The Calling revolves around a man named Avraham Avraham who is an NYPD Detective. In the job of uncovering truths, his superpower is his belief in mankind.

But when an apparently routine investigation turns completely into something else, Avraham’s deeply spiritual and religious principles make him question his own humanity.

Jeff Wilbusch-

Thirty-four years old Israeli actor Jeff Wilbusch will portray the lead character Avraham Avraham in the upcoming series. In the 2021 German mystery horror movie, ‘Dawn Breaks Behind the Eyes’ Wilbusch was cast as Gregor Grause.

Before that in 2018 he starred as the main cast member in the German Luxembourgish tv series ‘Bad Banks’ portraying Noah Weisz. The same year he also starred in the BBC One miniseries The Little Drummer Girl in the role of Anton Mesterbein.

In 2020 Wilbusch was cast as Moishe Lefkovitch in the Netflix miniseries Unorthodox‘ as the main cast member. Most recently in another Netflix miniseries ‘Keep Breathing‘ he starred as the main character Danny in 2022.

In 2018 she was cast as the recurring character Jess Jordan in the satirical black comedy series ‘Succession’. She also starred as the main character of Beth DeVille in the American post-apocalyptic series ‘Y: The Last Man in 2021.

As Detective Earl Malzone in the upcoming series, American actor Michael Mosley will be seen starring. Her film credits include ‘The Insurgents, ’27 Dresses’, ‘The Accidental Husband’, ‘The Proposal’, ‘You’re Nobody ’till Somebody Kills You, ‘Hot Pursuit’, ‘Other People’s Children, ‘LBJ’, ‘A Crooked Somebody’, ‘Peppermint’, ‘Sister Aimee’ etc.

From 2006 to 2007 Mosley was cast in the role of FBI Agent Malcolm Atkins in the American crime series ‘Kidnapped’. In Season 9 of the American sitcom ‘Scrubs’, he starred as the main character Drew Suffin from 2009 to 2010.
