Netflix has got you covered without you having to leave the convenience of your couch. Love In The Villa, the streamer’s newest summer romantic comedy, centers on Julia (Kat Graham), who decides to travel alone to Verona for her ideal vacation after being abruptly rejected by her lover, Brandon (Raymond Ablack).
However, when she gets there, she finds that stiff Britisher Charlie (Tom Hopper), who travels to Verona every year for his business looking for vintners to work with at a wine festival, has double booked the beautiful villa.
Graham was drawn to the project by Mark Steven Johnson (Christopher Robin), the film’s director and writer, and his script.
She brought her own printed travel schedule from a previous trip to one of her first meetings with Johnson since she was particularly moved by all the connections between herself and Julia.
In a similar manner, Hopper was interested in the script due to the fact that he thought it would appeal to his wife, Laura, who also stars in the movie as Cassie. She also expressed her personal curiosity about playing Cassie, which later prompted her to apply for the part and get cast.

Love In The Villa Netflix Synopsis
Julie Hutton (Kat Graham) has always believed that she would be destined for a life of romance if she waited long enough. Her lifetime dream vacation to Verona, Italy, is about to take place, and her boyfriend, Brandon, may even make the long-awaited proposal.
Therefore, Julie is the one who is most shocked when Brandon abruptly ends their relationship and sends her on her own to the City of Love. She had been preparing for her trip to Verona for years, after all.
Julie is astonished to find Charlie (Tom Hopper), a handsome but aloof British man who is in town for business — and almost no pleasure — already living on her property when she gets to La Villa Romantica.
Charlie’s yearly stay at the villa is entirely practical because it’s close to the wine show he attends while working for London’s biggest wine importer.
Although neither had requested a roommate for the week, a mix-up forces Julie and Charlie to unhappily share the villa. Being perpetually upbeat, Julie gradually makes an effort to make the best of the circumstance and realizes that perhaps fate still has a plan for her. Laura, Tom’s wife, also appears in the movie.

Who Is Tom Hopper?
Thomas Edward Hopper was born on the 28th of January in the year 1985 in the town of Coalville, Leicestershire.
He went to Ashby School and Newbridge High School, where he first became interested in acting. Tom enrolled in a drama class and performed in a Return to the Forbidden Planet musical play. He attended Rose Bruford College to study acting.
Hopper was cast in the Watford Palace Theatre production of As You Like It and has since made appearances in a number of movies and television shows, including Saxon, Casualty, Kingdom, and Doctors.
In the comedy-horror movie Tormented, Hopper played Marcus, a bullied youngster who returns from the dead to exact revenge on his classmates.
Hopper played Billy Bones in the Starz television series Black Sails as the show’s first actor. Hopper made an appearance in the 2016 thriller Kill Ratio and a Barbarians Rising episode.
He replaced Freddie Stroma, who had previously played the character in season 6 when he joined the HBO series Game of Thrones cast in season 7 as Dickon Tarly.
