Expected Plot Details

The 10-episode half-hour dramedy chronicles the tale of two best friends who unintentionally found themselves running one of North America’s biggest fake ID businesses. “Fakes,” which frequently breaks the fourth wall, charts the breakdown of their relationship as well as their meteoric success.

Zoe Christensen and Rebecca Li, two childhood best friends who are just making it through the school year, are introduced to us in the trailer.

In this story, which is told through asides that break the fourth wall, the duo takes viewers through their ascent to the top and their ultimate fall to the bottom. The two start scanning off false IDs for themselves and a number of their peers in a side business that first merely serves as a method to buy some alcohol for the weekend party.

The two plunge into their new venture without realizing the hazardous characteristics they will encounter along the road as it becomes clear that, should they expand their firm, they could be living the lifestyles of high rollers.

When they realize that the federal authorities aren’t the only ones about to tear down their doors, things start to really heat up for them.

The first season of the sitcom, which is produced by David Turko, would reportedly have ten episodes that each last for thirty minutes.

The new ten-episode series trailer suggests that lovers of heist-focused works like Inventing Anna, wacky start-up tales like WeCrashed, and YA productions like The Summer I Turned Pretty will enjoy the blend of teenage friendship and criminality at its core.
