The new Netflix drama I Came By, which features graffiti artists who discover a frightening secret, will premiere in August 2022 and promises to offer us enough to ponder on as well as some scariness and shocks.

The film stars George Mackay, Hugh Bonneville, Percelle Ascott, and Kelly Macdonald as a teenage graffiti artist who steals into the houses of the rich and discovers something horrifying that transforms his life in a horrific way.

Netflix has stated that I Came By will indeed be available on Netflix globally beginning August 31, 2022. It will also be available in select UK theatres from August 19, 2022. The film lasts 109 minutes.

The Plot

In I Came By, George Mackay portrays Toby, a rebel young British graffiti painter who earns recognition by trespassing into the houses of the exceedingly rich and then spraying his unlawful creative works inside!

In a hoodie and being completely incognito, he has become a folk hero, but he is also pursued by the government and the affluent and powerful individuals whose homes he vandalizes. Percelle Ascott plays Jay, a fellow rebel graffiti artist who, like Toby, routinely targets opulent properties.

When Toby steals into the house of famed former High Court justice Sir Hector Blake, he learns a terrible truth that sends him on a quest that puts his life and the lives of everyone around him in jeopardy.

George MacKay as Toby, the graffiti artist at the center of the plot, is played by George MacKay. George began his career as Curly in the 2003 film Peter Pan.

Since then, he has portrayed Private Douglas in the BBC1 drama Birdsong & Tommo Peaceful in the movie Private Peaceful. George has also been in the BBC One drama Outcast, as well as the films Pride, Sunshine on Leith, and Munich: the Edge of War.

He portrayed Ned Kelly in the 2019 film True History of the Kelly Gang as well as the Oscar-winning World War I film 1917.
