Money Heist: Korea Joint Economic has been teased and fans of The Spanish Show- La Casa De Papel (Money Heist) are waiting to watch its Korean version, one of the biggest hits in the history of Netflix is all set for its Korean adaptation with the same name under the direction of Hong-sun Kim. The First Teaser of the show has already been dropped by Netflix.
About the Spanish Show-
Money Heist is a story about a group of unusual but highly talented robbers with nothing at stake, who conducts the ‘Most Perfect Robbery’ in the history of Spain, starting from- The Royal Mint, under a single master-mind, The Professor.
This show is promising in every possible aspect & never shy away from any underlying theme, let it be romance, relationships & love triangles, or challenging the establishment by singing one of the most popular protest song- Bella Ciao.
The Korean Adaptation- Money Heist: Korea Joint Economic Area
The adaptation (Money Heist: Korea Joint Economic Area) is said to be staged around the Joint Economic Centre, a fictional area on Korean Peninsula. The plotline will be very similar to the original one, consisting of a bit of Korean geography & politics to explore the Korean audience. The synopsis of the adaptation reads- “Thieves overtake the mint of a unified Korea. With hostages trapped inside, the police must stop them and the shadowy mastermind behind it all.”
The Professor- 교수 –
The infamous & most crucial character of the Spanish show, The Professor played by the Spanish actor- Alvaro Morte, in the original version, is going to have Yoo Ji-Tae as the face of the South Korean audience.
Money Heist: Korea Joint Economic Area – The Release Date & First Look-
Netflix Korea yesterday posted the first look of the show on its Instagram page, featuring Yoo Ji-Tae as a professor, sitting in a dark room lost in thoughts, encircled by papers, maps & files looking at the miniature of his target.
The post was captioned- 교수 translating to The professor inMoney Heist: Korea Joint Economic Area.
The first part of the show consisting of six episodes will release on Netflix on 24th June 2022.
