Alexandra Daddario, a 2022 SAG Awards ambassador, shared what she likes about her fiancé Andrew Form: “They support each other through the tough times.”
Alexandra Daddario will soon be a vision in white after starring in The White Lotus.
Since last summer, when she began dominating our TV screens as Rachel in the HBO satire, the 35-year-old actress has clearly been enjoying a tremendous moment. She then announced some personal news at the end of the year, announcing her engagement to movie producer Andrew Form.
Daddario is now launching off 2022 on a high note by serving as an ambassador for the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards, which will show on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Feb. 27. She and fellow ambassador Ross Butler (13 Reasons Why) will be attending the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., this weekend to celebrate television and film’s big night.
Daddario spoke exclusively with E! News ahead of the award event about her “amazing” year of achievements and how she and her fiancé deal with life’s highs and lows.
“What’s amazing is that we can support each other through the difficult moments,” she remarked, reflecting on how they’re savouring each other’s company. “Right now, the world is a little wild, but we’re looking forward to the future.”
The Baywatch alum explained how the couple balances each other out, saying, “In the midst of all the chaos, he provides me tranquillity, and hopefully it’s the other way around. That’s what he said; therefore, I’m going to believe him!”
She does, after all, have the White Lotus cast to rely on. (Co-stars Murray Bartlett and Jennifer Coolidge are also nominated for SAG Awards in 2022.)
Daddario admitted that she’s on a text chain with a group, but she also admitted that she’s on a text chain with a group “Everyone is busy… but we all liked each other a lot. We were locked together, therefore that was a nice thing.” “It’s a really supportive, beautiful group,” she added with a giggle.
In terms of her character Rachel and her husband Shane (Jake Lacy), Daddario believes they’re “still together today,” but that she’ll “soon” leave him.
“I simply don’t think she’s at that place,” she explained. “I think a lot of ladies end up in that circumstance.” “She lacks the necessary strength, but I believe she will eventually reach her breaking point. Maybe it’ll be too late; I’m not sure if it’ll have a joyful ending. They are, however, on holiday somewhere else.”
Aside from her acting abilities, Butler praised Daddario for her charity endeavours.
He told E! News, “It’s something that, in the end, as performers, it is what we want to achieve.” “It’s why we’re in the arts because we want to inspire, influence, and bring out people’s potential,” she says.
Butler has been working on Swimming with Sharks and Shazam! in addition to his new duty as SAG Awards ambassador. After concluding his time as Trevor in To All the Boys, he starred in Fury of the Gods.
In fact, he just rejoiced alongside his TATB co-star Lana Condor, who announced her engagement to actor Anthony De La Torre last month.
“I didn’t know about it until I saw it on her Instagram,” he explained, “and I immediately started bawling on the spot.” “I adore her and Anthony, and we’ve spent so much time together.”
He enthusiastically endorses: “They’re two of the brightest people I’ve ever met. Both academically and spiritually gifted. So that was like a watershed moment in my life, watching them become engaged.”
While he waits for that wedding invitation, he’s just happy to have received an invitation to his first-ever SAG Awards. He stated about his fellow performers, “There’s an immediate comfort and an immediate connection.” “We’re kind of making a joke here, but who knows what’s going to happen.”
