Kurtulus Osman is a Turkish historical drama that focuses on the life of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire. It is created by Mehmet Bozdağ and star Buraq Özçivit in the titular role. The series first aired in November 2019 with season 1. Season 2 premiered a year later in October 2020 and has been airing new episodes every Wednesday.

The season finale is expected to air on June 23, 2021. The date for the finale has been speculated but there has been no confirmation. In an interview with Television Gazetesi at the beginning of June, actor Burak Ozçivit said that the finale would be “after 3 episodes”, at that time. Geo.TvOzçivit’s Fanclub on Twitter recently posted a picture of his last day on set which leads us to believe that the filming for the finale has been wrapped. Turkish online platform also took to Twitter on 16 June saying that the finale of Kurulus Osman would be a week from today.
The storyline for the finale will be completely based on an episode that came out this week. In this week’s episode, we saw Osman Bey and his lieutenants come under Mongol attack when he is returning from his visit with Seljuk Sultan Mesud. The episode features a fierce battle between Osman and the Mongols.
Judging from the fact that the show is hugely based on historical facts, it would mean that Osman I would love through the Byzantine and Mongol conflict as well as the Byzantine-Catalan alliance and conflict.
Kurulus Osman Season 2 Episode 36 released on June 17 and the finale is expected to release on Wednesday, June 23.
