What’s With The Delay Of You season 3?
With Netflix previously revealing that You season 3 will premiere for sure the filming of the series with its creative team, cast and crew were to start in the spring of 2020.
However, everything was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. They had to postpone it for at least six months. Production reportedly resumed in February 2021.
The filming has now wrapped. On the last day of filming, Sera Gamble shared a Twitter thread. Though it wasn’t confirmed whether You season 3 was always going to be released in late 2020 or 2021, it surely appears now that it’s going to be delayed from at least the time we were expecting it to happen.
What is the Release Date Of You Season 3?
Ted Sarandos announced some information regarding the release during the Netflix Q1 earnings call. It is planned to be released in the last quarter of 2021 i.e in October, November, or December.
The series has been a hit for the last two seasons. Netflix has released the two seasons of the show between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. If Netflix follows that trend for this one too, then we are expecting a release of You season 3 between Christmas and New Year’s Eve 2021.

Or we can expect a different release date too. With the production ended in April 2021 and the way things are going currently, it may even happen a lot earlier. As we have seen, the time between the wrap-up and its Netflix release date is shorter than it used to be in the past.
We’re getting to watch Outer Banks, Atypical, Cobra Kai, Money Heist, and a few other new shows quite earlier than we expected. So, that’s an indication that You season 3 can be released in October or November.
Though rumors have been spread because of a fan poster that the season is coming in November 2021, nothing is confirmed yet.
