The Vince Staples Show | Official Trailer

The latest trailer for The Vince Staples Show indicates that it’s the genre-bending, odd sitcom Netflix needs. The trailer begins with Staples arriving at his house, where Andrea Ellsworth asks about his day.

Staples recalls his day, which began with him running across the yard and getting someone out of jail while speaking on the phone. Remembering what he had done all day, he answered Andrea: “It was cool.”

The trailer’s next scene shows Staples hiding from a guy who looks to be chasing him. Later, he is in an amusement park, where a mascot stares at him. In this amusing incident, he argues with the mascot. If that wasn’t enough, a mysterious stranger tried to shoot him.

Aside from the hilarious incidents featured in the trailer, there is also a cameo appearance by a prominent rapper in the video. Eagle-eyed viewers may notice rapper Rick Ross in the trailer when he says: “Lemon Pepper?”

So, who is Vince Staples? You may recognize the Long Beach rapper for his songs & collaboration with Odd Future, but Netflix says there’s more: “He’s somewhat famous, but he isn’t. He seems rich, yet he is not. He’s also somewhat of a criminal. “But he isn’t?”
