Relationships and love are not always easy, especially for Emma Morley & Dexter Mayhew. Originally featured in author David Nicholls’ famous novel One Day, the pair were brought to life in 2011 in a film version starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess.
Now, nearly 13 years later, Netflix is bringing back the relationship with a series starring Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall, and the latest trailer teases how they will reunite, grow apart, & fall in love all over again over 14 years and 14 episodes.
So, The wait is almost over. In just a few weeks, Netflix will release its adaptation of David Nicholls’ One Day.

One Day begins with just one interaction between the two star-crossed lovers at their graduation on July 15, 1988. Their first conversation changed their lives forever, and they became inseparable over the next 14 years. In the trailer, they form a connection that night and discuss their future goals, whether personal or philanthropic.
Brief glimpses into their future indicate how their paths diverge: Emma wants to make a difference in society and becomes a writer, while Dexter seeks fame and fortune before being caught up in the worst.
They build other relationships, start families, experience achievements, hardships, and sadness, and grow significantly throughout the years, but one thing remains constant: they keep coming right back to each other.
Each episode of the romantic drama will feature Emma & Dexter, one year older on that fateful Day.
