Paul William Davies, a former lawyer who’s worked on shows like Scandal, Betrayal, and For the People, will serve as the writer and showrunner for the series. This show is part of Davies’ new deal with Netflix, which also includes Shondaland, the production company behind it.
Shondaland already has successful series on Netflix like Bridgerton and a few others. Liza Johnson, known for The Last of Us, will direct four episodes of The Residence.

When Is The Netflix Limited Series The Residence Coming?
Netflix hasn’t revealed yet exactly when The Residence will come out, but based on the filming, we think it’ll probably be released in the first half of 2025, between January and June.
Also, it has been revealed that the show The Residence will have eight episodes, each about an hour long. It’s being called a “mini-series” in a few places, which means there probably won’t be a second season.

The Netflix series presents a story set in the White House, where there are 132 rooms, 157 potential suspects, and a murder to solve.
