In the final episode of Gen V, after Cate kills Indira Shetty, the group is split on what to do next. Cate and Sam want to rescue all the Supes held captive in The Woods and take revenge on Godolkin for what they’ve suffered. But Marie, Emma, and Jordan prefer a peaceful approach and can’t change Cate and Sam’s minds.

When Cate and Sam head to The Woods, the trio decides to stop them themselves because they can’t trust anyone else. Cate and Sam free the prisoners and discover that some Supes died due to experiments. They start attacking humans, causing chaos.

Ashley and Vought executives are in a meeting when the violence breaks out, scaring them. The chaos at Godolkin’s facility allows the young Supes to explore their powers and push their limits. Cate, no longer under the influence of Shetty’s pills, realizes the full extent of her extraordinary abilities.

She feels neither weak nor disoriented, suggesting that she might have no limits to her powers. Sam encounters Luke, who tries to reason with him, but ultimately, with Cate’s support, Sam becomes consumed by a single goal: destruction.

In the end, after a lot of violence and chaos, the situation gets even more complicated. Marie, Emma, and Jordan arrive at Godolkin, where many people are already dead. Cate and Sam are on a destructive rampage, and even when Andre tries to talk to Cate, she refuses to listen.

Emma attempts to reason with Sam but ends up shrinking, a power she didn’t have before. A showdown ensues, with Marie, Jordan, and Andre confronting Cate, Sam, and the Supes from The Woods. Marie defeats Maverick with her powers, while Jordan faces three Supes.

Marie uses her powers to save Jordan, but just as they seem to have the upper hand, Homelander arrives. He doesn’t support them and attacks Marie with his laser vision, leaving them blamed for the violence. Vought frames them as the villains and Cate and Sam as the new heroes.

The four young Supes are now locked up, and it’s clear that Vought is trying to cover up their own role in the chaos. However, they may have unexpected allies, as the Boys are aware of The Woods and the virus.

Victoria Neuman, who has a connection with Marie, could also play a role. In the end, Homelander chooses Cate and Sam for the Seven, as they share their beliefs, leaving Marie and the others in captivity.
