On November 1st, 2023 Sweet Home 2 released a date announcement video on the Official Netflix YouTube channel!
Sweet Home, based on the critically acclaimed self-titled webtoon, had its worldwide debut on Netflix in December 2020.
While the first season establishes a feeling of dread inside the confines of Green Home, Season 2 takes place in a larger setting, introducing a completely new cast of people and monsters.
Sweet Home 2 Date Announcement
The teaser begins with Cha Hyun-su being covered in blood and being kept in a cell by the military. He is then led to a private chamber, where a voice from above announces, “Finally, we met Cha Hyun-su.”
He then questions if he is the one who could save humanity and bring everything to an end. When Hyun-su asks, “What do I need to do?” a bucket of blood is spilled on him.
The teaser continues to depict individuals from the outer world confronting monstrous threats, with Go Min-si and Lee Jin-wook reacting to the sights.
The clip ends with Song Kang locked up and a voice in the background saying, “Commencing the initial experiment on MH-5.”
The powerful and suspenseful visuals in the teaser promise an exciting and high-stakes story for the forthcoming season.

Netflix has confirmed that most of the main team will return for the second season of Sweet Home. Some of the returning cast members are :

We anticipate that additional cast members will be added to the season. While Go Min Si will be seen in season 2 as the feisty former ballerina Lee Eun Yoo, her brother, former medical student Lee Eun Hyuk (Lee Do Hyun), may be missed.
Though Eun Hyuk’s frightening final scene in season 1 hinted at his demise, the fate of the beloved genius character remains unknown.

Release Date
Sweet Home Season 2 is set to air all episodes on Netflix on December 1, 2023. Sweet Home season 2 will not be the series’ last season!
Netflix ordered Sweet Home for a third season on the day they unveiled the second season. Netflix renewed the series for another season simultaneously, which should shorten the period between seasons. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait two or three years for season three.
