Frankenstein 2023 Movie Everything You Need to Know!

After the phenomenal success and winning an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film for ‘Pinocchio, Guillermo del Toro took up ‘Frankenstein’ as his next film.

The latest buzz:

Del Toro has indeed been developing the project, based on English author Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel but we are not sure how loyal he will remain to this project.

Conversations about Frankenstein are still in an early preliminary stage – but sources tell Variety that Andrew Garfield, Oscar Isaac, and Mia Goth are in the process of early talks to star in the live-action film – and this sounds like a pretty good deal.

It is unknown whether Del Toro’s version would be a period set up or a modern setup, and we also do not know who portrays Doctor Frankenstein or his creation but we speculate that Goth would be playing the doctor’s love interest.

Del Toro’s Oscar win on Sunday marked his third Academy ( ‘The Shape of Water’ in 2017 and ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ in 2007, and most recently, ‘Nightmare Alley’ in 2022) – but will there be another film to direct?

We are still yet to hear a confirmation from Netflix on this new project.
