An upcoming and Internationally Licensed Canadian Netflix Original teen comedy series created by Tommy Lynch, I Woke Up A Vampire is set to hit screens soon! The series was first broadcast in Canada on the Family Channel from May to September 2023.

What is the Plot of the I Woke Up A Vampire?
Revolving around teen Carmie Henley, the series takes us to the day when she wakes up on her 13th only to discover newfound supernatural powers.
With the help of her best friend, Kev, Carmie soon learns that she is a vampling – a half-human and half vampire; just like the mythical creatures depicted in the Blended comic books.
The adopted Carmie finds herself embarking on a journey that aims to answer all her questions regarding her existence and the recent… er vampirical changes in her body. If puberty, middle school pressures, and teenage issues aren’t enough – let’s add a Van Helsing to her tail as well.
This leads to a series of comical events and Carmie finds herself at odds with herself – sometimes she wants to be seen and sometimes she wants to hide. Classic teenage vampire problem.

Who Are the Cast Members of the Series?
Kaileen Angelic Chang plays the lead role of Carmie Henley and her previous works include some short films.
Niko Ceci plays the role of Kev Gardner, Carmie’s nerdy best friend. His other works include Odd Squad, Clifford: The Big Red Dog, etc.
Zebastian Borjeau plays the role of Dylan Helsing. He has worked previously in non-Netflix projects like the Charmed reboot, Joe Pickett, etc.
