Nokia G42 5G Price, Camera, Battery and More.

The historic company Nokia has lately explored several strategies to do this, but with its most recent product, the G42, it is following an outdated playbook: that of the Lumia range.

This device, which harkens back to the era of Windows Phone and vibrant colors, has its greatest selling point in the color purple.

The phone, however, really becomes truly thrilling when the violet “So Purple” option is chosen: The camera module also changes its color to match the purple pattern, as tiny particles begin to sparkle and light reflections begin to move over the rear.

The Nokia G42 symbolizes a little whimsy in a world where monochromatics are the norm for the time being. In the future, we will see pink, yellow, or another Lumia classic, red, return.

‘So Grey’ is another color option for the G42, although that seems unimportant. Beyond concerns about repairability, the G42 features a USB-C charging port, just one stereo speaker on the bottom, and a 3.5mm headphone connection.

Display

Regarding the display, it features several intriguing downgrades compared to the competition. Although some of the competition offers 120Hz, its refresh rate is adequate at 90Hz, but its resolution of 720p is a touch low.

Since at least 2018, Full HD has been the standard on most smartphones, providing a compromise between resolution and power needs.

A lower resolution does have certain advantages, such as greater battery capacity and performance, but because the majority of the competition uses 1080p, the G42 seems like a distant relative.

The phone has NFC capabilities, making it simple to use mobile payment services. An FM radio may also be used, which is practical if you need an Internet connection or want to consume less data.

However, the kit does not come with a new headset for the antenna. The phone has two SIM card slots. However, one of them also serves as a microSD card slot.

The G42 from Nokia is a 5G smartphone, allowing you to utilize the quickest mobile standard. Although the phone has adequate LTE and 5G frequencies to be used internationally, you should first confirm that you may use the phone for mobile Internet locally.

128 GB of internal storage and 4 and 8 GB of RAM are supported. It is equipped with an Adreno 619 GPU and a Qualcomm SM4350-AC Snapdragon 480+ 5G Octa-core CPU.

The phone has a triple camera setup with 50 MP (wide) + 8 MP (macro) + 2 MP (depth) on the back and an additional 8 MP (wide) camera on the front.

A non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery, 20W wired, PD3.0, and QC3 power the Nokia G42. Side-mounted fingerprints, a compass, and proximity sensors are among the available sensors. Things look good in terms of battery life.

The Nokia G42 comes equipped with a 720p screen, a low-power processor, and a sizable 5,000mAh battery, which are all essential for a solid performance.

The G42 was able to last into the next day with as much as nine hours of screen time. When it concerns the topic of quick charging, the picture gets murkier.
