SteelSeries Arctis 7X Wireless Gaming Headset Review.

The already fantastic Arctis 7 is updated by Steelseries for the newest platforms. The Arctis 7X and Arctis 7P for Xbox and PlayStation, respectively, of SteelSeries’ acclaimed Arctis 7 wireless gaming headset come just in the nick of time for the next new generation of consoles.

This headset is amazing all around and has enhanced battery life, a USB-C connection, and new paint to coordinate with your new Xbox Series X or PS5.

One of the most cherished wireless gaming headsets, the Steelseries Arctis 7X, has been updated. The ski-goggle headband design and soft ear cups that wrap your ears in superb game audio make the original a very comfortable headset.

SteelSeries Arctis 7X Specification

SteelSeries Arctis 7X

The SteelSeries Arctis 7X and Arctis 7P are equipped with DTS Headphone:X v2.0 for spatial surround sound technology audio in addition to the same S1 40mm sound drivers as the original Arctis 7 headset, although surround sound cannot be enabled on PlayStation consoles as this function is still only available on Sony’s first-party USB headsets.

According to SteelSeries, the Arctis 7P will support Tempest 3D audio on the PS5. The USB-C dongle adapter that comes with both gaming headphones enables lossless, low-latency wireless transmission at 2.4 GHz audio up to 40 feet (12 meters) away.

It functions perfectly; however, depending on your configuration, that peculiar form can be a problem. It functions flawlessly on laptops, mobile devices, and tablets; however, due to its size, it may obstruct nearby ports on PCs.

The physical layout is unaltered. Because it keeps the recognizable ski goggle headband with Air Weave ear cushions employed in the whole range of Arctis headsets, the 7X ranks as one of the most snug gaming headsets available.

These headsets don’t hurt as other ones generally do for those who wear glasses. On the right ear cup is the power control ChatMix slider and mic chat sounds. A headphone sharing port, headset volume slider, mobile cable jack, and a mic mute button are all located on the left ear cup.

The microphone is excellent. A ClearCast bidirectional microphone with Discord certification retracts into the left earcup. Take it out of its storage space when you require it and slide it back in when you are through. It sounds fantastic, clearly capturing speech without the typical nasal quality.

The cushioned ear cups are really comfortable for someone who might own too many earrings. Normal headphones would be unpleasant and annoying because they would push too hard on the ears and rub against earrings. The SteelSeries Arctis 7 X accomplishes the exact opposite, pressing lightly but tightly over the ears.

Compared to the original Arctis 7 headset, the battery life has been slightly boosted, offering up to 24 hours of wireless gaming as opposed to the prior 20 hours, providing you that extra boost for prolonged play sessions.
