The latest trailer for D.P. 2 disclosed some exciting details to the fans. D.P., a notable Netflix original that was the subject of the moment, got tremendous praise and is one of Netflix’s top Korean series. D. P., short for Deserter Pursuit, is based on Kim Bo-Tong’s Lezhin webtoon D.P. Dog’s Day.

The plot centers around a young private apprehending South Korean military deserters. The series offers a rare and brutal look into the reality and problems faced by military personnel, appealing to South Korean viewers and an overseas audience interested in discovering this distinct facet of South Korean society. 

The new season will premiere on July 28, 2023. With six episodes, much like the previous season, the new season promises suspense, action, and heartbreaking scenes that make viewers ponder the first season’s bone-chilling hyperreality.

D.P. 2 Official Trailer: Koo Kyo Hwan Joins Jung Hae In As He Challenges The System Again.

The compelling D.P. 2 trailer takes viewers on an emotional rollercoaster, exposing the characters’ struggles with the prevalent bullying and discrimination within the Korean military system. These situations force some troops to become deserters to run away.

The drama depicts Jun-ho and Ho-yeol, a part of the military desertion arrest squad (D.P.), as they face absurdities in catching fleeing soldiers, often known as deserters, and returning them to the military.

The trailer shows Jung Hae In’s character, Ahn Jun Ho, immersed in thought, criticizing the system’s handling of deserters. He proposes a different way of not catching the deserters, motivated by a desire to oppose the absurdity he encounters.

This unusual concept creates a potential clash with the Armed Forces Headquarters, which is keen to cover up what happened.

The trailer then cuts to a spectacular shot filled with explosive moments, furious chases, and gripping combat scenes.

This trailer promises a season of high stakes, a highly charged emotional drama that highlights the possibility for groundbreaking modifications in the narrative’s dynamic.

Following the thrilling finale of Season 1, D.P. Season 2 updates reveal the return of most actors. D.P. won over audiences’ hearts and is now one of Netflix’s top Korean dramas, with Jung Hae In stepping into Private Ahn Joon Ho’s dark and transformational role, demonstrating his versatility beyond his love drama origins.

Koo Kyo Hwan, who plays Corporal Han Ho Yul, joins him as his quirky buddy. Kim Sung Kyun will play Sergeant First Class Park Beom Gu, Son Suk Ku will play Captain Im Ji Sup, Shin Seung Ho will play Hwang Jang Soo, Hong Kyung will play Ryu Yi Kang and Lee Jun Young will play Jung Hyun Min.

In addition, Season 2 of D. P. adds new characters who will contribute to the building story. Ji Jin-hee will play Goo Ja Won, a top legal officer stationed at the military headquarters.

In contrast, Kim Ji Hyun will play Lieutenant Colonel Seo Eun, an operations officer from the Ministry of National Defence Prosecutor’s Office.

Choi Hyun Wook has also been confirmed to appear in the second season of D.P. However, specifics regarding his character have yet to be revealed.
