Exploding Kittens began as a Kickstarter campaign for a card game but quickly grew in popularity and became the most-backed project in Kickstarter history.
The Exploding Kittens series was formally announced by Netflix in April 2022, barely a month before the mobile game was converted for Netflix Games.

When will the Exploding Kittens Netflix Series be Released?
The series’ first release claimed that it will release sometime in 2023.
Netflix has announced the series’ release date in the autumn of 2023 during the Netflix Upfronts event in May 2023.
During the 2023 Annecy Film Festival in France, Netflix plans to debut a particular clip from Exploding Kittens. Mark your calendars! The festival is confirmed from June 11 to June 17, 2023.

The cast of Netflix Series:
Tom Ellis, the star of Lucifer, will head the cast, including Lucy Liu and Ally Maki. Later this year, we should find out who else will join the series.

What is the ‘Exploding Kittens’ Netflix Series about?
The animated series will follow “the eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell” as it intensifies after God and the Devil are carried to Earth and trapped in the bodies of chubby domestic cats.
Exploding Kittens – The Game will be available to Netflix users without the need to pay any additional fees or make in-app purchases when it launches straight on the mobile edition of the platform. Instead, the game will be a digital version of the conventional card game.
In this game, players pick cards from a deck with different abilities. However, they need to be alert not to choose the “exploding kitten” card, which will result in losing the game.
This updated edition of the game will also include two unique cards with brand-new powers, with plans to introduce additional exclusive cards to tie in with the series in the future.
