Why the Franchise of Indiana Jones is to End after Part 5?

Indiana Jones Part 5

The Lucasfilm franchise officially made the first ever Indiana Jones film in 1981. It was titled Raiders of Lost Ark. The movie became an instant classic as soon as it was released.

The adventures returned in 1984 with a prequel, which was titled Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom, and again in 1989 with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Then the 4th part took a bit longer to come but was worth the wait as observed by the audience reviews. It came out in 2008 and was titled Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The main reason behind the end of the long-running Indiana Jones is the age of its leading character. Ford is now above 80 years old and is no longer interested in working in the industry.

The actor even injured his shoulder while shooting an action scene in the Dial of Destiny. This forced the makers to work around his recovery which made it difficult to shoot.
