Nicolas Winding Refn has created the upcoming noir thriller series Copenhagen Cowboy which is his first Danish language work since the 2005 Danish crime movie ‘Pusher 3‘.
The plot of Copenhagen Cowboy revolves around a young enigmatic renegade Miu as she is searching for her nemesis Rakel while navigating through Copenhagen’s ominous criminal netherworld.
Angela Bundalovic and Lola Corfixen have starred as Miu and Rakel in the series respectively. It is set to premiere on January 5, 2023, on Netflix.
