Maitland Ward is now speaking publicly about her decision to leave Hollywood. The adult film actress, 45 years old, who is best known for her role as Rachel McGuire on the television series Boy Meets World, recently discussed her desire to leave Hollywood and retire from acting in an interview.
“Even though I was aware that Hollywood wasn’t the right place for me, I couldn’t help but be drawn there. I couldn’t stop thinking about different ways that I might start again.
During an interview for the promotion of her book biography Rated X: Liberated Me From Hollywood, Maitland Ward said that she is not the kind of person to give up lightly.
She went on to say, “But my self-esteem was at an all-time low.” You’re chosen for the position because of who you are and how you seem in certain ways. However, if you do not make any changes, you will not have any success. Whatever it is that brings you fame will also be the thing that keeps you from ever being employed for anything else.

“Hollywood is a machine that raises you just to bring you crashing down again and again. I believe it is something that a lot of performers deal with, particularly if you were on a famous program that aired during prime time.
“It’s difficult to avoid falling into the role of the archetype,” Maitland said. Acting-wise, I had a long list of goals and aspirations for myself. I wanted to portray characters that were more dramatic, more emotional, and even more villainous.
I just wanted to experiment with a new playing style. And despite this, I wasn’t even allowed to try out for the role. I wasn’t treated any differently than everyone else. And it turned out to be discouraging.”
Maitland disclosed the amount of money that she makes from OnlyFans in an interview that took place the previous year.
