If you’ve been following the Kardashians over the years, you’ll know that 9-year-old North West Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s oldest child has expressed her discomfort with being filmed several times.
When she was 2, North West went viral when she screamed, “No pictures!” at the paparazzi waiting impatiently outside her ballet class.
Continuing her frustration with the paps, North questioned in July why they film her and her famous family members “all the time.” A few days later, the little girl was ironically snapped holding a handwritten ‘STOP’ sign to photographers at the Jean Paul Gaultier Autumn/Winter fashion show.
So it’s not exactly surprising that North often shies away from the camera when she’s not driving it, with several fans often expressing their concern that the nine-year-old doesn’t have a normal life.
However, North’s mother Kim has consistently played down the toddler’s discomfort, claiming last month that the whole ‘STOP’ sign fiasco was just a ‘funny’ flash.

“Anyone who knows North knows how much fun she finds this video! I think North had it with people taking pictures of her so she wrote STOP on her invitation and picked it up and wanted them to just focus on the show,” she tweeted.
A few years ago, Kim posted a video on her Instagram page in which she asked an uncomfortable-looking North why she didn’t want to be photographed or filmed.
“No! No pictures,” said North, to which Kim responded, “Why?” as she continued to film her daughter.
And now, Kim has landed herself in hot water once more, as she shared a new Instagram video in which she’s yet again recording North in spite of her discomfort.
In the music video, Kim and North, as well as Penelope, have a cute lip sync battle to Bruno Mars’s “Versace on the Floor.”
“Sing, girls!” Kim says over the song in the clip, panning the camera towards the back of the car where North and Penelope are.
However, North isn’t having it once the camera is on her and quickly asks Kim to stop. “Mom! Mom, delete it please!” North told her mom.
Kardashian embarrassing her daughter could be playful revenge for a viral TikTok earlier this month in which North used make-up to transform her famous mom into a Minion from the Despicable Me franchise.
In the clip shared on the duo’s TikTok page, “Kim and North,” North uses colorful makeup palettes and covers her mom’s face with yellow makeup, continuing to draw the iconic glasses of the popular cartoon characters and completing the look with glittery blue lips. . Kardashian poses in her glam at the end of the video, throwing up a peace sign and pouting her lips.
“MOMMY MINION,” the reality TV star’s daughter captioned the sweet mother-daughter moment.
