Netflix has recently announced that Outer Banks would return for a third season in 2022, but it now seems like season 4 of the Netflix original series is already in the works.
As per reports, Outer Banks’ Season 4 is now in production.
The story centers on a group of best friends from high school who reside in North Carolina’s Outer Banks. A hurricane strikes their island, exposing the gap between the wealthy (“Kook”) and poor (“Pogue”) regions of the city.
Following in the footsteps of his recently lost father, John B. and his buddies engage in a treasure hunt for 400 million dollars worth of gold after a bizarre incident during a storm.
Scripts are being produced, but as the story points out, this does not suggest that Outer Banks season 4 is a certain conclusion.
We’ll have to wait a bit longer to learn whether Outer Banks will return for a fourth season or not as Netflix recently renewed it for a third season. We’ll have to wait till it happens, maybe with the release of season 3 on Netflix.
Outer Banks Season 4 Renewal Status
The third season of Outer Banks is expected to premiere in 2022.
If it is shot directly after season 3, the fourth season of Outer Banks will air sometime in 2023, according to the established timeline. Season 4 could premiere in 2023, even if they can’t film seasons 3 and 4 at the same time.
The Cast
This award-winning and hugely popular show’s core cast members, including Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, and others, will all be back for the fourth season.
Despite the fact that the Season 4 cast has not yet received an official announcement, there are rumors that the original cast of characters will remain mostly intact. However, a few little adjustments or additions here and there won’t cause us any issues.
