The Neighborhood is an American sitcom television series created by Jim Reynolds that premiered on CBS on October 1, 2018. The show follows a white Midwestern family adjusting to living in a predominantly black neighborhood in Pasadena, California.
CBS announced in January 2019 that the show had been renewed for a second season, which will premiere on September 23, 2019. Next, the series was renewed for a third season in May 2020, with the first episode releasing on November 16, 2020.
Next, the series was renewed for a fourth season in February 2021, which premiered on September 20, 2021. Finally, the show was renewed for Neighborhood season 5 in January 2022, with the release date set for September 19, 2022.

Dave is conducting a genealogical root test, which reveals that he and Calvin are not only neighbors but also relatives. They were discovered to be sixth cousins. Calvin initially denies the discovery, but after Aunt Desiray confirms Dave’s ancestry research, Calvin is forced to accept the truth.
In the nineteenth century, a Butler impregnated a Johnson, who became Calvin’s great-grandfather. However, rather than passing on his family’s land to his descendants, it was transferred to the Johnsons. Calvin is enraged after discovering the truth, while Dave feels guilty.
However, they eventually reconcile. Calvin realizes he can’t blame Dave for something his forefathers did. He also knows Dave is a good person, and he is compiling a list of all the things Dave has done for the community since moving there.
