Jo Koy is more than ready to resume laughing and fairly confident that the audience is as well. On September 13, the top-selling comedian will put that idea to the test when he turns his stadium performance into his fourth Netflix special.
He discusses his challenges in Hollywood, where he and his Filipino background weren’t always celebrated, in the hour titled Live From the Los Angeles Forum. Koy, Shannon Hartman, Joe Meloche, Michelle Caputo, and Hartman served as executive producers.
During a brief visit to his Los Angeles home, the recently single Koy opened up about cracking jokes in a world that is becoming more unstable and why he is grateful to God for Steven Spielberg.

The comedian and actor have revealed that his fourth Netflix stand-up comedy special, Jo Koy: Live At The Los Angeles Forum, will air on September 13 before the comedy picture Easter Sunday’s August 5 premiere.
Shannon Hartman directed this spectacular from the Los Angeles Forum stage, as the title suggests. As usual, he waxes lyrical about his bond with his teenage son and discusses the difficulties of having sleep apnea, among other things.
Executive producers include Joe Meloche, Michelle Caputo, Jo Koy, and Hartman. In addition to his variety special In His Elements, Joy has previously produced hour-long specials called Comin’ In Hot and Live From Seattle.
