Oppo Enco W51: Everything you need to know before making a purchase

Oppo Enco W51: Oppo is best known for its smartphones, but the company also released a few wireless earphones this year, including the Oppo Enco W51 TWS earphones we’re looking at right now.

Price in India

The Oppo Enco W51 is a low-cost pair of wireless stereo earphones with noise cancellation. The Enco 51, which costs Rs 4,999, is one of the few TWS earphones with an in-ear design for noise isolation, six microphones for digital noise cancellation, and an ingress protection rating for water and dust resistance.

Oppo Enco W51: Design

Oppo Enco W51 is available in three colors: Floral White, Starry Blue, and Aqua Blue. With the buds inside, the squircle-shaped charging case weighs 55.5 grams and is lightweight, compact, and easy to carry around.

Instead of being round, the buds are slightly oval in shape. Depending on your ears, this could be more or less comfortable. The package includes four silicone tips, an important component of the noise cancellation equation. Smaller ones were the most comfortable for me.

Overall, there isn’t much to dislike about the smartphone. They appear to have been designed with the masses, opting for safer design choices. If you prefer something more exciting, the black colorway with gold accents may be for you.

Performance

The OPPO Enco W51 is a capable earphone with good audio output. Furthermore, its noise cancellation feature filters ambient noise effectively, improving music listening and voice-calling experiences in noisy environments. The audio quality is neither loud nor muffled but rather balanced. Thankfully, it is tuned for both voice and music and has a neutral output rather than the bass-heavy one that most of its competitors provide.

Oppo Enco W51: Battery

The battery life is lacking from highs to lows. Most sessions, whether for calls or media consumption, would die on me after about 3 hours. It’s also been inconsistent, with one bud typically drained before the other. This is where it falls short of the competition the most.

The case supports 10W wired charging via a USB-Type C port, which takes an hour to charge from 0% to 100%. It also supports wireless charging, giving it an advantage over other options in the low-cost segment.

Software and Connectivity

According to the manufacturer, the Oppo Enco W51 TWS earphones have Bluetooth 5.0 and a range of 10 meters. In addition, you can use both buds simultaneously or only one at a time, storing the other in the case.

The Enco W51 is compatible with Android and iOS devices and supports Quick Pairing, but it only works with certain Oppo smartphones. Touch control customization is also limited to a few Oppo smartphones, which is inconvenient because you have to live with the default touch controls if you have an incompatible device.
