Adapted from the same named film of 1992, the upcoming American period drama ‘A League of Their Own is a sports comedy series. Though the story and characters of this series are new.
The focus of the plot is a professional baseball team made entirely of women in the World War II era. Set in the year 1943 the plot revolves around the team and the team members as they go through various injuries, close games, and s*xual awakenings during the tough time of a U.S. that is changing rapidly.
Primary filming of the series took place from July to October of 2021 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Abbi Jacobson, Chanté Adams, D’Arcy Carden, Roberta Colindrez, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Kelly McCormack, Priscilla Delgado, and Nick Offerman are the main cast members of the A League of Their Own.
A League of Their Own will release on August 12, 2022, on Amazon Prime Video.
