Paper Girls Season 1: Update On Release Date & What we know so far

Paper Girls Season 1 Update: The eight-episode drama, which will premiere on Friday, July 29, is described in the official logline as “a high-stakes emotional journey shown through the eyes of four females.”

Tiffany Quilkin (Cambrian Jones from Cherish the Day), Erin Tieng (Riley Lai Nelet from Altered Carbon), Mac Coyle (Sophia Rosinsky from Fast Layne), and KJ Brandman (Fina Strazza from A Christmas Melody) when they “become caught in the crossfire between warring time-travelers, altering the course of their lives forever” while on their delivery route.

These girls are sent into the future and have to find a means to return to the past, requiring them to travel to the adult versions of themselves along the way.

Amazon Studios has just debuted a second full trailer for its new sci-fi drama, Paper Girls, following last week’s teaser. The eight-episode television series, which is based on the 2015 graphic novel series by Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang, tells the tale of four paper girls named Erin, Mac, Tiffany, and KJ, who are caught in the crossfire between two rival groups of time travelers on Halloween morning in 1988.

Paper Girls Season 1: Update On Release Date

Good Morning Veronica Season 2

The girls are unintentionally transported to 2019, where they must turn to their elder selves for assistance to find their way back home and escape their would-be captors.

This new video provides a more thorough look at the series’ premise and opening sequences, best described as a cross between Stranger Things and The Adam Project with a dash of Umbrella Academy-style weirdness and humor thrown in.

Along with Ali Wong’s portrayal of Erin’s previously disclosed older self, we also catch a peek at Tiffany’s older self in a nightclub and KJ kissing another woman in a bedroom.

Not to mention the time-travelers in white armor chasing the girls through a forest while armed with laser guns or the swarm of what appear to be purple robotic fireflies covering Erin’s injured belly. The series seems to challenge the best-rated series, so the wait for the series seems forever, and the viewers show their excitement about the upcoming series.
