Good Morning Veronica Season 2: A Brazilian action flick series that will be available on Netflix in 2020. The series, directed by José Henrique Fonseca, gained accolades for addressing timely issues like violence against women. It involves a female cop who is assigned to investigate two instances involving mistreated women.

A month since the first series appeared on Netflix, the show was formally renewed. Netflix Brasil posted a teaser clip on their YouTube page with the official season 2 announcement: “Bom dia, Verônica | Segunda Temporada Confirmada | Netflix” which translates to (Good Morning, Veronica Second Season Confirmed | Netflix).
The teaser video depicts, Veronica, in the closing scene of season 1’s final episodes, wearing a blonde haircut and dressed in all black.
The Release of ‘Good Morning Veronica’ Season 2?
Season 2 has been renewed for almost a year, but Netflix has yet to confirm an official release date. Season 1 debuted on Netflix on October 1, 2020, featuring eight episodes lasting around 40 minutes each. Season 2 was supposed to begin production immediately following the renewal, and thankfully, it happened. The show will hit the OTT platform on 2nd August 2022.
Nonetheless, we understand that the Coronavirus pandemic has done a lot of havoc in many regions of the world. As a result, delays are unavoidable.
Season 1 Recap
Season 1 presents us with Veronica, a lady police clerk who is underestimated because she is a woman in a male-dominated field. Veronica experiences a suicide that would transform her life during the seemingly unremarkable day at Sao Paulo’s sloppiest police station.
In Chief Wilson Carvala’s office, a distraught father of a rape victim sits. Marta Campos is also present, but the head of police dismisses her. When the authorities dragged the rapist in, the bereaved father pulled out a revolver. The investigators were able to take the pistol from him.
Marta, who is weeping, picks up the gun, and before anybody can intervene, Marta kills herself. Someone filmed the suicide incident and uploaded the video on the internet. Unhappy with the bad reputation they are getting, Carvala reluctantly agrees to let Veronica look into Marta’s situation.
Veronica’s season 1 finished in a totally different light. We see her transition from a straight officer to a full-fledged murderer focused on bringing justice to her hands.
Good Morning Veronica Season 2: Plot
Season 2 plot details remain scarce, but we are expecting to see Veronica embark on more dangerous quests. The darkness will indeed be her potential ally now that everyone believes she is dead. She is now on her road to bigger bouts.
