The Dirty Little Secret actress sat down for an interview. In an interview, Nora Fatehi opened up about the brand for girls. She mentioned how it didn’t make sense to her, and the same thing at length.
Nora said in an interview, “Item girl, I don’t know who created that word. It doesn’t even phonetically make sense. Like Item is a thing. You know, like ‘This is an item’. And then girl, this doesn’t make sense. To me, I don’t understand it.”
The Dirty Little Secret Nora Fatehi added: “But I mean what does it mean that there’s a song and she’s in there as a really hot girl. And she likes to tease you. And there it is, that’s the song. So I don’t do them. I make performance-oriented songs. I make songs where you come and see the choreography. You come and see some crazy steps. You see some movements charged with power, presence, and aura. And I made sure mentally that from day one if I was going to do it, I was going to do it. It would be about my presence, it would be about my aura and I bring something to the table.”
She continued, “And I struggled so much making songs about just my steps.” Like there were so many arguments with the filmmakers because they didn’t allow me to take hard steps. They would say, “No, keep it really easy”. And I would say, ‘That’s the only way to break through in this industry. That’s the only way people will respect me. If I bring something different and challenging to the table.”
