Realme GT 2 Pro: Price, Specifications, and Much more

The Realme GT 2 Pro is the most expensive phone Realme currently sells in India, but it’s also one of the most affordable models with a cutting-edge Qualcomm processor.

Price

The Realme GT 2 Pro’s base variant costs under Rs. 50,000 and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Rs. 57,999 variant has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space.

Design

The unique design deserves special mention. Realme’s paper-like implementation stands out in a world of plastic and glass finish phones. Similarly, Realme claims to have used a bio-based polymer material that leaves a 35 percent lower carbon footprint, which is something we will appreciate as eco-conscious consumers.

The back of the phone is paper-like, which means you can write on it. Which is interesting but not something we do regularly. Because of its lightweight design and flat frames, the Realme GT 2 Pro is a very comfortable phone.

Realme GT 2 Pro Display

It has a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel made by Samsung with a resolution of 2k. It has 10-bit colors, 100 percent DCI-P3, LTPO 2.0 technology, and a touch sampling rate of up to 1,000 hertz. It’s not just about the specs; the screen is excellent. I found it quite bright and vibrant. Watching videos or browsing the web has been an incredible experience here.

The display is hdr 10 plus certified, but it does not support her video playback on OTT platforms, which is a pity. On the other hand, the in-display fingerprint sensor on the GT 2 Pro works well, and the typing experience on this phone is crisp and satisfying, thanks to the excellent vibration motor.

The audio quality is also quite good, though there is some noticeable distortion at maximum volume.

Battery Life

Aside from the fantastic design and display, I am also very pleased with the battery life. Its 5000 milliamp-hour battery easily lasted me an entire day under my typical usage pattern, which includes a lot of multimedia consumption in the form of photos and videos, as well as being constantly connected to a phone call or WhatsApp.

The company’s SuperDart fast charging technology is included to alleviate battery anxiety even further, with the 65W power adapter recharging the phone to full capacity in under 35 minutes, as advertised.

Performance

The Realme GT 2 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s second most powerful chipset, the 2022 Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. We know that this is an excellent processor that can handle almost anything that you throw throws at it.

However, we are well aware of its heating issues, and yes, when pushed hard enough, the Realme GT 2 Pro does heat up.

Realme is throttling the performance, in this case, to improve stability and reduce heat dissipation. Beyond raw power, the GT 2 Pro includes ‘HyperSmart Antenna Switching,’ which intelligently switches between the phone’s 12 antennas for the best connection quality, a larger NFC contact area for easier interaction, and fast UFS 3.1 storage, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and 5G connectivity.
