Day Shift, starring Jamie Foxx and depicting him in a comedic role as a vampire hunter, is one of the many entertaining films that will be available on Netflix this summer.
Foxx is quickly becoming a regular performer on Netflix, having previously acted in films such as Project Power and Dad Stop Embarrassing Me, in addition to the upcoming science fiction comedy, They Cloned Tyrone. J.J. Perry, who has previously worked as a second unit director and stunt coordinator on films such as Fast and Furious 9, The Fate of the Furious, Bloodshot, and the John Wick movies, will make his directorial debut with Netflix’s Day Shift. Perry will also serve as the film’s director.
In addition to Shaun Redick (Black Klansman) and Yvette Yates Redick (Malicious) of Impossible Dream Entertainment, the project will be produced by Chad Stahelski and Jason Spitz of 87Eleven Entertainment.
The first draught of the script was written by Tyler Tice, and then screenwriter Shay Hatten (Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead, the John Wick movies) made some changes to it. Alongside Gaidar, Scott Adkins will also be a part of Day Shift. He is known for his work in films such as Ip Man 4: The Finale, Accident Man, and Accident Man 2, and he will definitely bring his experience in combat choreography and stunt acting to the table.

The plot of Day Shift on Netflix is still largely unknown. But, on the other hand, we are aware that Jamie Foxx plays the role of a parent living in San Fernando Valley and works as a pool cleaner in order to offer a pleasant life for his daughter, who is eight years old.
Or, at the very least, that’s how it appears to be on the surface. In actuality, he kills vampires for a living and utilizes the job of cleaning swimming pools as a front for his true source of money.
