Nancy Drew Season 4, the CW’s supernatural hit starring Kennedy McMann, has been shaking up everyone’s lives in Horseshoe Bay for the past three seasons. From the breakup of the Hudson family that practically ran Horseshoe Bay to uncovering the truth behind the folklore of Dead Lucy, Nancy and Drew Crew’s actions and mystery-solving skills have changed the town mostly for the better.
However, the exploration of what these changes did to the town seemed sidelined as the series primarily focused on the romantic relationships of the people in the Drew Crew.
The season three finale ended on a particularly ominous note for Nancy’s burgeoning romance with Ace (Alex Saxon), whose romance was cursed by the late Temperance Hudson (Olivia Taylor Dudley).
If Nancy and Ace ever act on their feelings for each other, Ace will die. Meanwhile, after getting engaged earlier in the season, George (Leah Lewis) and Nick (Tunji Kasim) have called off their engagement to focus on their own lives and how they want to move forward, especially now that George is out of danger of certain death.
As for Bess (Maddison Jaizani), she recently became involved with Addy Soctomah (Rachel Colwell), but things are still fresh. After three seasons, it seems that not enough attention has been paid to aspects of their personal lives outside of romance.
Nancy Drew Season 4 Release Date
The series was picked up for Season 4 in March 2022. A month later, McMann confirmed that the cast would begin filming in July in the comments section of Instagram. In May 2022, the network announced that the show would premiere midseason the following year.
During an interview with TVLine, Taylor noted that their plan is to create a new chapter with Season 4. “We’ll be able to welcome new viewers in a way where you might not have seen the previous three seasons.” she said shortly after the Season 3 finale aired in January. “You would benefit from watching them on HBO Max, but you wouldn’t have to join them.”
Where Did Drew Crew Go From Here?
Season 3 ended with the core group of friends going their separate ways as they tried to figure out their future as adults. According to Taylor, the intention is for everyone to reunite in the midst of their new beginnings. “They definitely always come back together. Definitely.

She added, “There’s a lot of teamwork opportunities. I’m excited about a group of friends and how they come back to each other in a slightly evolved state, not that the latter is a bad thing, but just as people gain more life experiences, your friendships evolve. well.”
