Sergeant Daniel Hondo Harrelson is the protagonist of the series. He is Los Angeles born and has a history in the Marine Corps. In the series, he is given the duty to lead a new special weapons and tactics unit, called the Last Stop. Hondo is an African American and LA born and raised.
