Dead to Me Season 3 Update: Liz Feldman created the popular American black comedy series Dead to Me’ which has won a number of Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Produced by Joe Hardesty, Linda Cardellini, Peter Chomsky, Buddy Enright, and Denise Pleune, this series revolves around an unusual friendship between two women Jen and Judy. They meet in a grief support group.
Recently widowed Jen is attending the group to come to terms with her grief of losing her husband who was killed by a hit-and-run driver. On the other hand, according to Judy, she’s grieving the death of her fiancé due to a heart attack.
The two women gradually form a friendship and a strong bond. But what happens when it is revealed that Judy is the one responsible for the death of Jen’s husband?
Portraying the roles of Jen and Judy we have seen respectively Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini in the first two seasons. Other cast members of the series include James Marsden, Max Jenkins, Sam McCarthy, Diana-Maria Riva, Brandon Scott, Valerie Mahaffey, etc.
The series premiered on May 3, 2019, on Netflix. The second season aired on May 8, 2020. The third season of the series is set to be the final one. This season, though renewed in July of 2020, was delayed for filming due to COVID 19 and then Applegate’s diagnosis. It will release sometime in 2022.

Jen Harding played by Christina Applegate: In the role of Jen who has joined the grief support group to cope with her husband’s death by a hit-and-run driver. Veteran actress Christiana Applegate portrays the role of Jen Harding. This American actress began her acting career when she was a child and gained recognition through the role of Kelly Bundy in Fox’s ‘Marroed… with Children’. Applegate portrayed the role from 1987 to 1997.
From 1998 to 2000 she played the role of the titular Jesse Warner in NBC’s sitcom ‘Jesse’. She also co-produced this series. Applegate co-produced two more series which are ‘Samantha Who?’ and ‘Up All Night’.
In the role of Samantha Newly or Sam Applegate acted in ABC’s sitcom ‘Samantha Who?’ that ran from 2007 to 2009 and in the role of Reagan Brinkley she acted in NBC’s sitcom ‘Up All Night’ that ran from 2011 to 2012. She is executive producer of the black comedy ‘Dead to Me’ where she has been playing the role of Jen Harding since 2019.

Judy is the woman who killed Jen’s husband by hit-and-run driving. She also attends the grief support group with Jen. American actress Linda Cardellini plays the role of Judy. In 1996 she starred her tv series acting career with the role of Sarah in the children’s horror tv show ‘Bone Chillers’.
Then from 1999 to 2000, she starred as Lindsay Weir in the teen comedy series ‘Freaks and Geeks. In NBC’s popular American medical series ‘ER’, Cardellini played the role of Samantha Taggart from 2003 to 2009. In Netflix’s original ‘Bloodline’ she was cast as Meg Rayburn from 2015 to 2017.

Dead to Me Season 3- Steve Wood and Ben Wood played by James Marsden:
Steve Wood is the ex-fiancé of Judy whose semi-identical twin brother is Ben Wood. American actor and singer James Paul Marsden plays both of these roles. From 1996 to 1997 Marsden played the role of the main character Ricky Beckett in ABC’s tv series ‘Second Noah’. In season five of the legal comedy series ‘Ally McBeal’, he played the role of Glenn Got from 2001 to 2002. From 2012 to 2013 he was cast as Criss Chros in NBC’s satirical sitcom ’30 Rock’.
In the two seasons of HBO’s dystopian sci-fi, neo-western series ‘Westworld’ Marsden has been playing the role of Teddy Flood since 2016. In the post-apocalyptic fantasy series ‘The Stand’ that is adapted from Stephen King’s same-named novel he has played the role of Stu Redman from 2020 to 2021. He also appeared in the role of Phil Crane in three episodes of the American historical series ‘Mrs. America’ in 2020.
