Episode Count

With Season 2 of the show officially underway, Rent-a-Girlfriend has made known how many episodes will comprise the upcoming run of the show. The first of the big properties returning in the jam-packed Summer 2022 anime calendar consisting of these enormous returns is the anime adaption based on Reiji Miyajima’s original manga series.

Compared to the sparse schedule the first season had when it premiered two years ago, the romantic comedy series has a lot more competition this time around, but the first episode of the second season already teases some fresh twists to Kazuya’s life.

According to a recent revelation from @SugoiLITE on Twitter, Rent-a-Girlfriend has also been slated for 12 episodes as it progresses through the second season this Summer. A 12-episode run would make sense considering that the first season also only lasted one season,

however, this hasn’t been verified by the Blu-ray listings for the second season just yet. Additionally, it means that the new episodes have been available to viewers for one week, and as the Summer progresses, things are beginning to wind down even more.

Thankfully, there is already much to look forward to, and if you wanted to watch both the new episodes and the first season, Rent-a-Girlfriend is already streaming Season 2 with Crunchyroll. The upcoming season is teased in this way, “Kinoshita Kazuya, a miserable college student, meets Mizuhara Chizuru, an elegant rental girlfriend, and eventually introduces her as his girlfriend to his family and friends.

Time passes with Kazuya unable to speak the truth because he is surrounded by three different women: his devilish ex-girlfriend Nanami Mami, who keeps returning to tempt him for some reason; his overly-aggressive provisional girlfriend Sarashina Ruka, who can’t stand rejection; and his incredibly shy but hardworking and diligent younger rental girlfriend Sakurasawa Sumi…..beautiful girlfriends of all types!
