Black Canary Updates: Birds of Prey is a superhero movie which released in 2020. The movie was produced by Margot Robbie and was made under the banner of the DC universe, the movie is directed by Cathy Yan and it is a spinoff of Suicide Squad.
The Movie star cast includes Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as The Huntress, Jurnee Smollett as Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, and Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz in the main lead.
After the release of The Suicide Squad in 2016, the makers confirmed a spinoff focusing on the character of Harley Quinn and other female heroes in the DC universe.
Birds of Prey has been one of the most prominent projects in the DC universe, and it was also commercially hit all over the world.

Recently it was reported that Jurnee Smollett who played the role of Black Canary in the movie is reprising her role again. In an interview, she talked about getting the chance again to develop her character more and more badass as Dinah Lance.
She stated, that she is incredibly excited and she cannot reveal much about it, and she would like to explore a lot more and she said they have just touched the surface of Black Canary and there’s more depth to her character, she is one of the dope martial artists in the DC universe. She is really excited about all the challenges coming in the project.
Jurnee Smollett was widely appreciated for her role in Bords of Prey and since then she has been receiving a lot of calls and messages requesting her to reprise her role. Last year it was announced that there will be a movie focusing on Black Canary and Smollett thanked everyone for making this project possible.
