Interceptor is one of the most anticipated upcoming films. It is from Australia but America has also some share in it. So that is the reason why it could be said to be an American Australian film.
The film is an action drama that has a lot of adventures too. It is directed very beautifully by Matthew Reilly. Matthew is also the one who will be seen as the one handling the screenplay along with Stuart. Matthew Reilly has also played a different role in the movie as he has produced it and also written it.
This film of Matthew is of 92 minutes and it will be Netflix that is distributing this film worldwide. Even though Netflix is releasing this movie but still it will be restricted to just some countries. With a running time of 92 minutes, the film is going to release on 3rd June 2022.
The filming has started some years ago and it was planned to release in theatres in 2021. The theatre release was just happening in Australia but due to some reason, it has failed. It indeed had a short theatrical release in Australia. It was on 26 May 2022 when it was released in Australia.
With a little detail related to the Interceptor plot, it was Netflix who revealed the synopsis. They said it will be a simultaneous coordinated attack. The lead characters Collins will come face to face with the character Alexander. Alexander is a former US military Intelligence Officer.
It is Elsa Pataky who is portraying the role of Collins. Collins has just 1 minute according to the clock to apply all training in the military and determine whom she can trust. She needs to stop the character Kessel from their terrible mission.
It was in 2017 when the writing of the Interceptor started. The estimated budget was set as 15 million. It started on 29 March 2021 and was completed in just a month.
When it comes to the preparation of roles then Elsa has trained herself with the help of her husband Chris Hemsworth. She gave her 5 hours of daily training. Chris Hemsworth has not trained his wife but also became the executive producer of Interceptor.
Coming back to the cast in detail then we have a great number of casting with great characters for the Interceptor. Almost every character is trained for some action and they are here as follows: Elsa Pataky would be as J J Collins, Aaron Glenane would be there with Belinda Jombwe, Marcus Johnson, Zoe Carides, Colin Friels, Rhys Muldoon, Mayen Mehta. Luke Bracey will also be there as Alexander.
